Bilel Neji is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical Engineering department at the State University of New York at Buffalo. As a 2011 International Fulbright Science & Technology Fellow, his research focuses on sustainable energy and power management.

A native of Tunisia, Bilel received both a Diploma of Electrical Engineering, in which he specialized in Embedded Systems, and a Master’s degree in New Technologies in Computer Systems from the National Engineering School of Sfax. His undergraduate senior project was research-oriented and was conducted within LAMIH laboratory in Valenciennes University in France. This project focused on studying and designing an embedded system for driving assistance. During his MS program, he worked on a research topic with a goal of improving the efficiency of embedded systems. This project was completed in INRIA Laboratory in France. Bilel’s project focused on developing a multiprocessor parallel system on chip and a network on chip using different FPGA circuits.

After graduation, Bilel worked as a contractual assistant at the National Engineering School of Sfax. He was a member of the Research Group on Intelligent Machines Laboratory and conducted research in the area of small satellites especially power management and attitude determination systems.
