Fulbright Student Grants are available to more than 140 countries worldwide. For comprehensive information on grant opportunities in a specific country, please visit the pertinent world region below. Grants are generally available in all fields of study.

You apply for this award through the Fulbright Office in your country of citizenship. Each Fulbright Office will conduct a preliminary selection and forward a limited number of applications for final screening and selection in the U.S. The final selection committee will include prominent academics and professionals.

Deadline Date

Please note recruitment for the International Fulbright Science and Technology Program has been suspended for the 2013-2014 program year. Decisions for the 2012 cohort have already been announced.

Eduardo-Bendek-Selman

Seeking to become more specialized in the astronomical instrumentation field, Eduardo Bendek Selman applied for an International Fulbright Science and Technology Award. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University of Arizona where he is conducting research on adaptive optics and laser guide stars for astronomical instrumentation applications. His long term goal is to contribute to the Chilean government’s efforts to be increasingly involved in some of the world’s major astronomical projects scheduled to take place within the next decade.
